    Two Bostons and Burr Ridge Village Center present a live dachshund race packed with prizes, games, and Derby Day fun. It is FREE to attend for spectators. Spots are limited and racers must register in their correct age division above. A big thank you to our sponsor, Stella & Chewy’s, for helping bring the Dachshund Derby to life!

    All racers must register for the age group that fits them best. Purchase your $25 registration ticket at the top of this page.

    Rookie Run
    Up to 1 year old
    Register for Rookie Run

    Zoomie Squad
    1 year – 7 years
    Register for Zoomie Squad

    Senior Shuffle
    7+ years
    Register for Senior Shuffle

    Entry Fee: $25 per dog

    Each registered racer receives:

    • Official race bandana
    • Ribbon or trophy
    • Two Bostons goody bag

       

    What to Expect on Derby Day

    This isn’t just a race. It’s a full afternoon of long-dog excitement.

    • Live dachshund racing

    • Games and mingling

    • Playful “betting”

    • Treat tastings for humans and dogs

    • Photo booth and selfie stations

    Bring your loudest cheers. Derby attire encouraged.


    Important Details

    • Check-in begins before your heat time (please try to arrive 30 minutes early)

    • Racing spots are limited

    • All dogs must remain leashed when not racing
