Sharing the Love with Your Pet: Ways to Help Animals in Need This Holiday Season

Posted on 12.05.2025

The holidays are a time for gratitude, togetherness, and giving—and that spirit doesn’t just apply to people. Every year, thousands of pets in shelters and rescues wait patiently for a loving home. While they may not have a family to curl up with just yet, your generosity can make their season brighter.

At Two Bostons, our community’s compassion makes an incredible difference. Each year, our goal is to help provide at least 250,000 meals to local shelters and rescues. Every donation, big or small, helps a pet enjoy a special meal and a little extra comfort while they wait for their forever family.

Why Supporting Our Pet Community Matters

The holidays can be especially challenging for homeless pets. Many rescues rely heavily on donations to provide nutritious meals, cozy bedding, and medical care. Your support helps these organizations stretch their resources further so pets can stay healthy, feel safe, and experience a bit of joy this season.

Beyond supplies, giving back also reminds us of what the holidays are truly about: compassion, kindness, and community. Whether you’re fostering, donating, or spreading awareness, each act of care makes a meaningful difference.

How You and Your Pet Can Share the Love

Donate a Holiday Meal

This year, you can help feed shelter pets by choosing one of our Holiday Bundle Donation Packages during your visit to one of our Two Bostons stores. Each package directly supports local rescues and provides real meals to pets in need.

  • Donner Package: $5 in meals donated

  • Blitzen Package: $10 in meals donated

  • Comet Package: $25 in meals donated

  • Rudolph Package: $50 in meals donated

  • Santa Bag: $100 in meals donated

Together, these contributions make it possible to give every shelter pet a Christmas meal.

Host a Mini Donation Drive

Gather friends, coworkers, or neighbors to collect pet food, blankets, or toys. Even small community efforts can quickly fill a shelter’s pantry and bring comfort to pets waiting for their chance at a new beginning.

Foster for the Holidays

Many rescues need extra support during the winter months. Fostering a pet provides warmth, companionship, and relief for overcrowded shelters—and it may just be the best gift you give all season.

When our community comes together, amazing things happen. Stop by Two Bostons this holiday season to share the joy, support local shelters, and help every pet feel the love of home.
